I just know this thread is going to get wise guy remarks. :p

But I have a neighbor who wants to be able to use her dial up PC and still know when a phone call is arriving and if possible answer the call.

Dial up is her only option due to location and very limited funds.

Is there a free program on Major Geeks to accomplish this?

    All help is greatly appreciated.

not really an answer, but here goes. when i had dial up i kept wondering why i kept getting kicked off. after a while i figured out that i had incoming calls (sometimes it wouldn't ring after i got kicked off). basically i had call waiting, so when the phone rang, sometimes (not always) i would get kicked off. so i wound up disabling call waiting whenever i got on line. g/l, sos

Is V.92 dial up available where you are ?

As far as I know it is not available in Australia, but I assumed it would be available in a lot of other countries

It allows you to be online and make phone calls at the same time
