A box appears on my computer screen and states, "Alert this document contains no data" on pages where there seems to be all the data necessary. I do not understand why it manifests itself ? It's become a nuisance now can anyone help please thanks.:) I have windows vista

Yes, it could be a FireFox issue. Are you running the latest version of FireFox?

The box has gone but now I have to shutdown the computer every time I want to reopen mozilla firefoxe. If I shutdown firefox and want to use it again while the computer is on I have to restart the computer again. Sorry:-o

Reset that line to it's original value and see if it stops hanging and closes properly.

There are several reasons FF hangs and I don't believe this is one of them. It didn't cause firefox to hang when I did it.

You don't have to restart your PC to reopen FF:
If this fix is indeed causing FF to hang up and not close, you may have better luck getting help from the Mozilla folks. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Knowledge_Base If it is the cause, I'll admit I am baffled.

Hang up does that mean close? When I turn my computer on the first time I tap on to the FF icon it opens up but if I shut it down I can never get it back open again without restarting my computer. I hope that makes sense thanks again.:-o
