    Hi All,

My Dad has an XP machine and connects to the internet via dial up. Most of the time it takes him 2 goes to get on line. Dial up connects but disconnects spontaneously before loading a page, second attempt usually gets him up and running.

    any ideas?

    cheers

Hmm, well besides get away from the dial up:) I would try to use another number to connect to the service that you use.

Thanks, Don't really understand why setting in Outlook Express would create these problems in Firefox. But I'll give it a try and see what happens

    Cheers
