Dick Tufeld dies at 85; actor who intoned 'Danger, Will Robinson!' (as well as the catchphrase: 'That Does Not Compute' on the '60s science fiction series 'Lost in Space')

Dick Tufeld's most famous role may have been as the voice of the robot on 'Lost in Space,' but his astounding announcing career was long and varied (read more about him and his lengthy career at the website link above)

Tufeld's Robot uttered other lines that became catchphrases for faithful viewers - including "That does not compute" - and needled the antagonistic and villainous foe in the series Dr. Zachary Smith with barbs like "Dr. Smith is a bubble-headed booby."

He also returned as the voice of the Robot in the whopping 70 million dollar 1998 "Lost in Space" sci-fi full-feature film.

This is a truly a sad day for sci-fi fans worldwide
