    Hi
I am thinking of buying a new PC, but I need advice on what the specs mean.
One on offer says it is Intel Pentium dual-core processor E2160 (1.8ghz,800mhz,1mb cache) and the other (1.73ghz,533mhz,1mb L2 cache)
Which is faster? Is it the ram which makes the PC faster or the processor?

    Cheers

I hate to say it, but its almost a shame to buy anything under 2gig these days. Unless your a spreadsheet guy rather than a game player or video maker, I'd go for a processor 2gig or over, at least 2.

I want something that can handle transferring analogue video to digital DVD. Photo editing and making slideshows also. Not for gaming as the only games I play are here in the Arcade ;)
