Digital Surveillance software?

I'm going to set up a digital surveillance system in my house. I have an older 4 camera DVR card and the software that comes with it is a bit dated. I would like to try out another piece of software to make sure it works with the card before purchasing it.

Any guidance on this matter?

Very nice piece of software... BUT it only works with 1 input on my capture card

try before you buy, it says it supports up to 4 cameras, and motion detection

(same software that comes with the same company's own product, but it does say that it works for others)

 

Thanks for that link... Same thing. Only detects the first input

Well I guess I'll stick with my current crappy software. Either that or buy another card with better software
