My main computer is Windows 95 would you believe and it has been infected with something so it won't print (even though there is communication with the printer) and the homepage of explorer goes to an unchosen site. Unfortunately my virus software is out of date and anything new I have looked at including spyware and adware won't load on Windows 95. I am in the process of getting a notebook to back up to, but would like to save the old computer. Any ideas?

PS Hardly any space left on the hard drive.

Google for W95+anti virus. Should turn up something. Older versions of McAfee used to work on W95. TRy these 3, Haven't tried them on W95 though.

    EmpTemp http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1575
    and CrapCleaner aka CCleaner http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4191

These will get rid of a lot of crap on your PC.

When was the last time you defragged? What is the capacity of your hard drive? How much free space is left? Can you fit a second harddrive? Your local computer shop may have small gig capacity Drives for almost no $$$. Bazza
