Direct X

Hi
I have been having problems with my videos not working and found out eventually that it was to do with Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot and moved the hardware accelaration from FULL or NONE. My videos then worked. I put it half way and they still worked but dont work if I put them on FULL. I left it at half way (the slider) But now I cant get COD5 Waw to work. It comes up with Direct X has encounted an unrecoverable problem, please read the readme file.

Please help as I play this alot.

Hi

What windows version you using?

Is your DirectX the lastest version? (Start > Run and type dxdiag for info) if not download and install latest one for yoru Windows Version, if you have Vista then you already have latest DX10, DX9c is latest for Windows XP

What Graphic Card do you have and are the drivers for it the latest?

Are you overclocking your CPU or Graphic Card, if so then reset back to default.

The basic accelaration didnt work and im using a nVidea 7800 GS GeForce card and its Direct X 9.0c is what im using.

Its just since I changed the hardware accelration for the display to make videos work its done this, ive changed it back but still no luck

Did you try system restore just incase something got messed up?
