Directx 3D help PLEASE!!

I just upgraded my video card to a ATI All -in -Wonder 9200 I was all ready to play some new pc games I received but they won't open it seem that my direct 3d functionality is not available? I have used " driver magic" to update my drivers but still no luck I am at a loss as to how to fix this I am attaching dxdiag and my mother board is :


Motherboard Name Intel Pendleton D845PT

I am not very computer savy but I have tried all I know how to fix this

Help please

 

What games did you get? Some of the newer games, require a more powerful video card.

Like, NWN2 requires 9500 or better to play.

If you click START, then RUN, then type in:
dxdiag (press enter).
Then the display tab, is everything enabled?

 

I got call of duty as the game I am trying

in dxdiag it states :

Directdraw Acceleration - not available

Direct 3D Acceleration - not available

AGP texture Acceleration- not available

I have attached my dxdiag

 

I'd uninstall all the drivers that came with the computer, before your upgrade, including the ATI drivers.

Then, I'd install, the latest "and greatest" drivers from ATI. Not from the CD that came with the card.

 

not to sound like fool or anything , but how ? do I do that ? I followed the directions when I installed the new video card removed all the drivers , I even installed new updated drivers from ATI today for my new card . I am really quite lost here

 

What version of directX do you have?

Could try uninstalling then reinstalling the most current version.

 

I have directx 9

I will try to uninstall it and re install and post what happened

 

Ok I know I am sounding really stupid here , but how do I uninstall directx ? I cannot figure it out ,

BTW thanks for being so patient with a obviously computer illiterate guy like me

 

OK so I have uninstalled all my drivers for my new video card , and reinstalled the drivers from the manufactures website , reinstalled directx 9 and I still have the same problem what do I do now ?

 

Did you uninstall all the drivers from the old video card?

Also, DirectX 9c is the latest.

When ye are video dxdiag, there should be buttons to enable, the disabled items.
