Dirty Cow Linux Kernel Exploit

    I couldn't locate a Linux forum here. My apologies if this is an inappropriate place to post this message. Moderators please feel free to move this to a more appropriate venue.
    There is a new kernel exploit that is in the wild and if you run Linux you are urged to update your distro as soon as possible. This is a nasty one. At the moment I'm not running Linux until my distro (Slackware) has a patch for this kernel exploit. I'm running OpenBSD for the time being. I think a lot of the distros have issued patches.

    Normally I would say this belongs in the Software forum, but given the specific topic, it should probably go wherever the largest number of visitors can see it...?

    I agree. I thought the lounge would be a nice area as a lot of us hang out here. I have also noticed that a lot of the lounge members do run a variety of Linux distros. If someone moves this thread to a higher traffic forum I'm happy with that decision.
