I would appreciate a plain English explanation of how to disable and then re-enable a network adapter in Windows 7 Premium. I am running an HP Pavilion desktop with an i5 cpu. I had no internet and a little yellow dot by my network strength "bars" in the task bar. Someone came over and disabled and then enabled my network adapter. Can someone lead me through the steps to do this myself? Is there a piece of freeware to do this ?

    many thanks,
