im running win xp sp3 and i have the power options set to turn off the monitor after 10 minutes of inactivity and i just wanted to know how i can make it stay on when there is something playing in full-screen mode, like a movie on media player or a video online. thanks.

you can't have your cake & eat it to in this case.. you have to change the time minute limit to never.

thanks but id rather just change the settings every time than buy a mouse jiggler.
besides theres probably a program that would do the same thing for free.

does anyone know of any way i could make a shortcut to switch between 2 power configurations?

    Start>run>powercfg.cpl

    Or right click> new>shortcut >
    location type powercfg.cpl
    Name Power Config

then you can get fancy by right clicking and changing the icon & even dragging it onto the quick start toolbar.

awesome, that worked great, thanks a lot.

not to be picky, but is there maybe someway i could the shortcut automatically change the current power scheme? then maybe i could have two shortcuts, one for normal and one for movies.
