When you minimize somthing in IE in XP and have more than say five webpages open and they all group together, can you disable that? I looked in folder option and internet option taskbar properties and I can't find the setting I'm probably just over looking it and need a fresh pair of eyes. Y is that enabled by defualt what a dumb feature  Some things a better left unchanged......Windows 2000 for life!!!!!!!

Do you mean like opening other folders in the same window. without opening a different window everytime for a new folder?

IE will open a new instance if you click on a link or open another website that cannot be avoided in IE

you might to give a tabbed browser a chance.

    liky myIE2 or Opera

Edit:if you want the folders to open in the same windoow and not a separate window

    start
    control panel
    folder options
    on the general tab
    browse folder
option of open folder in in its own window should be chosen

edit:sorry about that. I did not fully understand your question :)

Right click on Taskbar, select 'Properties', uncheck 'Group Similar taskbar buttons' under 'Taskbar Appearance' and Voila!
