disabling startup programs - please help!

Hi guys,

My computer has been starting up (and then running) really slowly for a while now, so I'm trying to sort it out. I've managed to find out that I can disable programs from starting up automatically when I log on, and have got as far as being able to see which programs do this in Windows Defender. However, it doesn't help me much because I have no idea what most of these programs are, or which ones I can disable. Also, the 'Disable' button, is not available to me (greyed out), so even if I can work out what to disable, I don't know how to do it. I also have 0 free physical memory most of the time and have no idea if this is related or not, but one step at a time.

Programs running at startup, which I are unfamiliar to me are:

This seems like a lot of stuff - I don't know where it comes from, or whether I'm supposed to know what it does (I don't!).
Can anybody help?

If on XP or an older OS.
Disable all but McAfee use

I have no solution, for the greyed out option to disable. Can you post a screen shot of startup's using http://www.majorgeeks.com/CCleaner_Slim_No_Toolbar_d4191.html
While it's not advised, to disable startup's using CC I've done it on two Tablets on Vista, used by my brat and better half . I've only done this 'cause I, don't use those lappys. LOL

You will find the tools to make a clear decision on what to run or not at boot here.

Personally, I use StartupCPL to control startup, not ccleaner.
