For some unknown reason- I'm having a series of problems with messages disappearing from Outlook. Whenever I open and read an email then print it, the message will disappear from my 'in box'.

Also, when I forward a email from my 'in box' a copy no longer remains with a arrow to indicate the email had been forwarded.

I've looked at the tools section and just can't seem to find how to remedy this problem. It just suddenly happened.

    I'm using Windows XP.

    Thanks.

    Just some more information
The emails are received and once they are viewed and printed… they disappear.

Second problem- once forwarded- they disappear from the inbox (before a copy remained with a arrow indicating it was forwarded).

Since this is my wife's problem at work, I am trying to help her. So what I have found out again from her was that this is not a stand alone computer, apparently they have a server.
Anyway, to narrow the problem down some more, the problem only occurs when she goes to print, it does not disappear when she reads it. So when she goes to print thats when the email message disappears.

It sounds like you might have a filter applied.
Try looking in the View Menu | Current View. If you have a check next to
"Unread Messages" you're filtering out the messages after you read them.
If so, choose "Messages" from the list.
I hope that helps or at least sends you down the right path.

If your Wifes company are using Exchange Server to deliver the mail to OL2002 this was a known issue http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296622 but she may need to get the network admins to look over the settings.

The company is very small and cheap so there are no computer pros there, therefore she came to me for a solution.
