disc drives

    Hi, I have a Dell Dimension Intel 4 Pentium desktop and my problem is that the disc drives do not read any discs. Can I fix this or do I need a techie to do this repair? I'm not afraid to change drives did this on my laptop and have had no problems.

    Try this MS DVD fix.

    What's your OS and service pack #? If the drives just stopped working, have you tried System Restore? Do the symptoms change when in Safe Mode?
