Control Panel/Network Connections/Local Area connection- right click and choose disable. :)

Sorry, but that is the only way that I'm aware of to disconnect from the LAN, short of unplugging the ethernet cable. Apparently unplugging the cable would also leave you with no internet access. :) What are you trying to accomplish? :confused

I not suppose to be on a LAN but I have had a virus and somehow I am now on it, And I don't want to have to sign in when I boot up.

Having to sign in when booting doesn't mean you are on a LAN, it just means that your user account has a password set. That would be simple to remove, but what else makes you believe you are on a LAN?

Remove your account password. But your computer will now be open to anyone who uses it and more vulnerable to malware threats.

    How do I do that?

How do I get back my Internet Exployer?

Go to the control panel, click on users and then click on your profile and remove the password.

    What is wrong with IE?

    There is no password.

It loads MSN and not Internet Exployer.

MSN is a web site. It probably means that is what your home page is set to in IE.

You are obviously getting on the web in order to post these questions. Are you not connecting using IE?

Then when you go to user accounts in the control panel, click on "Change the way users log on or off."
Then clear the check box for Use the Welcome screen check box.
