[Typed in for a lame Kiwi friend] I disconnected the 2 CD IDE cables to do something else and when I reconnected... now they seem to work when I boot up, BUT in Windows I cant see them at all in My Computer etc. And they also wont play anything. Any ideas??? Should I repair windows, reinstall drivers. How can unplugging them do this? How can the PC even tell when it was off at the time??? Puzzledly.

Check your cables and power molex connectors, and make sure they are plugged in same as was before, if they are on same IDE cable one is master other is slave or cable select which wouldnt matter.
