I I keep disconnecting every hour same exact time, it'll change every once in a while if i shut down my computer but it's consistent with the hourly disconnection. I have no idea what it could be. I'm not on wireless either.

More, lot's more please Rob :)

PC hardware info, operating system and Service Pack level, connection type, hardware used to connect, power savings settings, how long this has been happening ...

It sounds like you are using dial-up with an hourly disconnect (when I had dial-up, I had 2 hourly d/c), I've never heard of an hourly d/c though.

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer
While in 'Event Viewer' select 'System' from left listbox. Yo may find the reason for your problem there.

You say you're not on wireless but do you have a router and if so what brand and model number?
