Maybe Ill get lucky and someone here knows or works for these people. Anyways my mother tried moving her big tv and I told her to mark the cords with sticky tape and mark numbers on it so we can put it into its proper spot when I get there. I get over there all tape she used feel off so I am staying at her dish tv with bunch of cords that are missed up. So Ive been searching online for a guide in which to put the cords back into its proper place but I don't have the right info on what it is so Iam litterally going through every setup and so far nothing. SO looking for some info on where to look for guides atm on on dishnetwork site, since Iam pretty sure she has dish. Anyways her setup is this

    Big screen sanyo hdtv
    VCR
    Receiver of some sort

So heres what the setup is behind the receiver in question. Theres 4 thick black cords (circles) that screw into the back of the receiver in the bottom left so the it would be this pattern. the I's are the walls of the receiver and o's repersent the black cords locations.

    I o o o o I

Then my next thing is theres 9 slots for red, white, yelllow 3 prongs.
so the setup on the back of the receiver is this for those
    ooo yellow
    ooo white
    ooo red
    123
    row 1 2 and 3 marked
Iam pretty sure the first and second row are the ones that my red white and yellow were suppose to go in. and the 3rd row was misc.. or something. Anyways iam looking how to setup the tv to the receiver with the 4 black black cords and 2 sets of 3 prong

Yellow is the video feed, white and red are left and right audio channels. If you have yellow, red and white out marked on the receiver you should be able to figure it out. Plug the yellow wire into the yellow input on the tv, turn the receiver on and plug the yellow cord into different yellow outputs on the receiver. You should find one (or all) of them will work and give you some signal.

Now for the cable going into the receiver from the dish outside you'll likely have two coax's that look pretty much the same. One will provide power from the receiver to the dish's LNB and the other likely won't (it's been a few years since I've talked to anyone on this). So if you plug two in and it don't work try switching those two. If it works, it works. You'll need to get the TV connected to the receiver first to see if there's any signal getting through though.

To me that info is pretty useless.
But if you can figure out which receiver you have...
But, what the other friend just said: probably you have (at the back of the receiver):

1 RF connector identified as LNB in (13/18v) here you have to connect ONE cable coming from the dish (you have two cables connected to the LNBs those should be connected to the switch and from the switch to the LNB IN at the back of the receiver).
1 RF OUT to TV SET, if you use just one cable, this one should be in at the RF IN at the TV set.
If you are using a VCR: OUT to TV set to RF IN in the back of the VCR and from the VCR RF OUT to the TV set.
If you are using the RCA cable: Yellow = Video and Red & White = Audio.
Video-Audio OUT from the receiver to the Video-Audio IN at the TV set. In this case you only ask the TV which source should look for a signal.
If you are using the RCA cable with a VCR: Video-Audio OUT from the receiver to Video-Audio IN at the back of the VCR and Video-Audio OUT from the VCR to the video-Audio IN at the back of the TV set. Again, you have to tell the TV which source should look for a signal.

Pretty confusing but pretty easy. Just ask if you have any doubts.;)
