Disk and partition problem

Long story short, when i tried to troubleshoot due to driverproblems. I reinstalled windows, or atleast that was the plan. I format it and as i try to install the windows again i get an error message looking like this:
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks."

Does anyone know what i need to do to fix this issue?
Do i need to buy a new HDD?

 

You don't need a new HD. The problem is with the UEFI BIOS. It wants a GPT partitioned disk. I don't have a UEFI machine so I can't give any first-hand knowledge.

Is there anything on the HD you are trying to save (data partitions or data)? If not you should be able to just let Windows automatically partition the drive as GPT by choosing to boot from the UEF_CDROM option rather than CDROM.

If you need to save one or more partitions on the HD post back with that info and I will try to find a work around.

Thinking about it, it might be as simple as carefully reading the boot screen and selecting CDROM rather than UEFI_CDROM would allow you to install to an MBR disk.

Luckily i don't need anything on the HDD.
Just did it, and it worked fine.
Hope i will find the solution to the other problems i have been having

Btw. i booted it and selected the CDROM, that what worked.
