Disk Defrag Problem

hey peeps...im running a defrag on one of my hard drives and it only get liek 2 sec into it and i get this error message "This scan has been cancelled because an error occured in file G:\Recycled\DG11.PX

Now i enabled my view of all system files and emptied that recycle bin and ran the defrag again and i get the same message. Am i missing something or is my comp messed up?...Appreciate any help!

 

What is the OS? IF you have System REstore enabled, I advise you disable it, also kill the paging file I cant tell you how to do this since I am not sure what your OS is, but if you need help with that that rell me what your OS is. Also, for Windows 2K and XP, after making the 'Paging File' zero, I also boot in safe mode, delete all temp folder (Internetnet related and system related). Finally empty out the Recycle Bin and run ScanDisk (ScanDisk is a must-do before running defrag, preiod!). Hope this steps helps you...

Btw that file belongs to a Corel database...possible corrupted or its link was broken.

YES. right-click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Settings button under Performance sections > Advanced > Change under Virtual Memory section > No Paging File > Set > OK > OK reboot
