I have a custom machine, Windows Vista, and I'm having problems with my disk drive. I think its Samsung?...Anyway, it was working for awhile, and then it quit on me. Is it possible for it to break? It still ejects and everything, but when I put a disk in, it doesn't recognize it. For a few weeks I couldn't even find the drive listed on the my computer thing for Vista. Then it popped up, but I can't get it to work. Help needed.

Details are important. Vista 32 or 64 bit? Samsung model number? Is it a DVD writer?
What does it recognize? Choices: commercial CDs, home burned CDs, commercial DVDs, auto burned DVDs, CD-RWs ?

Vista 32 bit, doesn't recognize anything. Scratch that it's not a Samsung, its a Pioneer, DVD/CD Writer DVR-710.
