    I have a TSST Corp CD/DVDW TS-H552B Double Layer burner on my e-machine. It worked well up until a month ago when I went to burn some music to a cd and the drive began telling me to put in a blank disc. It will not read a blank disc and when I put in any type of game or installation disc, the auto run feature is not working. I am also using NERO 6 and when I use the nero info tool, it says i have a system aspi installation is corrupted. When I check on the infotool for another aspi, it has one labeled NERO ASPI and it says "installed and working properly". I cannot find a way to go from the corrupted one to the proper working one. This is the only thing that I can see that is wrong. I am not exactly a computer guru or anything, so I am sure I am missing something. HELP!

    See if installing this ASPI will get it working.

    Thanks, that fixed the corrupted aspi file, but the drive still will not read disks. When I go to burn a data disk, it says to insert disk when there is already one there. I have tried a couple of disks and I even used an optical lens cleaner for the computer. Got any other idea's besides a stick of dynamite? ;)

    Would checking to see the IMAPI service is turned to "Disabled" in Administrative tools, possibly help?
    I know in the past this was an issue for burning CD's with Nero.

    [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.

    Once there, scan down the list for IMAPI Service. Then, disable that service.

    This worked for me, making sure wont hurt

    Operating system is Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2
    (hope that is what you needed, like I said, im not an expert)
    The IMAPI Service Disable didnt work either. It was set to manual, I disabled it, didnt work, I set it to automatic and still didnt work. Thanks for the idea tho. I really appreciate the help.

    Yep that's the operating system.

    Try this to get the auto insert working. That might get the other problem going also.

    Nope, it said that it could not determine the problem. Any other ideas?
