I have been searching on the MG download page, but not really seeing anything standing out for whole disk encryption. Currently, I am using TrueCrypt, which is fine, but it's a bit cumbersome management wise.

I have dual drives on my lappy. SSD primary and SATA secondary.

Any other suggestions for whole disk encryption that is FREE?

As far as *free* whole disk encryption goes, TrueCrypt is it for me. I use it mainly to encrypt directories and have gotten used to mounting a volume, its not so bad once you get used to it...

As far as encrypting directories goes, you can use 7Zip and make the compression level "store" for speed and encrypt the file names. You could mark them as Hidden on top of that. Not NSA grade, but will likely keep Grandma out of your fruitcake recipe. ;)
