I have a Dell Demension 4550 and it needed to have windows XP re-installed on it, after getting it re-installed, now i get a disc read error on the restart that says press ctrl, alt, delete. If i turn it off completely and turn it back on it's fine again until i try the restart and then it does the same thing. I see that other persons have had this same trouble, but mine might be a bit different, because I also installed a second hard drive to store my music on. I put the jumper on master on the original, it was on the cable select pins to begin with, on the new hard drive that i just put in I put the jumpers on slave. The device manager recognizes it in there and it also shows up on the my computer page and opens fine when i click open on it.
Everthing works fine except i get the error message on the restart and then have to shut it down and restart it manually to get back into windows.
I hope someone out there can help me with this.........Thanks
