diskeeper 9 questions

1) Why does it take so much longer than xp's defragger?

2) Is it any better than xp's defragger?

3) Why did it take over the Disk Defragmenter shortcut in accessories->system tools, and will uninstallaing restore that?

 

1.windows xp built in one is actually a earlier version of diskeeper. if you don't have a lot of free space, it can crawl.
2. most would say yes.
3. it just does, and when you uninstall it, it does go away.

most people here like diskeeper 9, I personally prefer perfectdisk.
