Display/nvidia Drivers Not Loading On Startup/wake

I typically turn my computer off every night, and put it to sleep during the day.
About a week ago I woke the computer up, but the monitor remained in sleep mode. I held the power button till shutoff. Then turned back on, but the resolution had dropped substantially from 1920x1200 to 800x600. I noticed the Nvidia GeForce Experience icon in the system tray hadn't loaded. The resolution options maxed out at 1600x1200. I restarted, and then everything seemed fine.
Now, randomly, when I wake the computer, it'll either be fine, or the monitor won't wake up and I'll have to hard shutdown. Or, when I boot, it's either fine, or the resolution has dropped and I'll have to restart. Sometimes I'll have to restart a couple times for it to work correctly.
I opened the task manager and noticed something: When everything works correctly, these processes are running:
    NvBackend.exe *32
    NvOAWrapperCache.exe *32
    NvStreamUserAgent.exe
    nvtray.exe
    nvvsvc.exe
    nvxdsync.exe

But when the computer boots and the resolution has dropped, only these are running
(plus, when I try to open an Nvidia program, it won't open):
    NvBackend.exe *32
    NvStreamUserAgent.exe

I did some research and the best answer I could find was to update bios and gpu drivers, which I did, but it made no difference. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Do you have your integrated graphics turned off in the BIOS?
Check Windows as well and be sure your card is the only graphics available.
There is a chance you are waking up with the integrated graphics instead of the card.

Good idea. I just dug around in the BIOS but couldn't find anything! And in the Device Manager under Display Adapters, there is only my GTX 570.

Pretty much out of answers here.
Try the card in a different slot, double check your cable connections are tight.
