I aplogize if this thread is in the wrong section, but I didn't see any other sections that would cover this problem. For some reason, my display is distorted to an overly large proportion. It's not just effecting my icons and backgrounds, but actually programs that I run as well. I run a cad program which is limited now because of this magnified effect, which effects my work. I was just wondering if someone might be able to help me or point me in the right direction to correct this problem.

Right click a blank spot on your desktop and select properties. Then click the last tab, Settings. If the screen area says something like 800 x 600, move the slider towards the right until it says something like 1024 x 768.
What size monitor are you using and is it a CRT or an LCD? Other settings or different settings, may apply, once we know the spec.
