I have a problem with my new computer. I just put it together after replacing the motherboard and processor. I turn it on, everything fine except nothing shows up on the monitor and yes, the monitor is plugged in and turned on. Its not the video card because I have tested it with the computer I'm on now and works great. Its not the Hard Drive because I've tested the computer with a different Hard Drive. Its not the monitor because it works with my old computer. Its not the processor or motherboard because those are brand new. It may be the power supply but it was tested before I got it and it worked and the fans on the video card are spinning. The Hard Drive has been nuked so nothing on it as far as I know.

    Here are my system specs:
    AMD Athlon64 3500+
    Asus A8V Deluxe
    2 x 512mb DDR
    40GB Western Digital 7200RPM
    BFG Nvidia 6800GT OC

Thats about it. I had the same problem before I replaced the motherboard and processor. Any ideas what it could be?

Are you using the mobo's onboard graphics? Or an AGP/PCI-E card? If you're using ASP/PCI-E have you made sure that the system isn't trying to use the onboard?

Well if you took at look at my system specs you can see that the motherboard I have has no onboard graphics.

Have a look in the BIOS at the Extended System Configuration Data area and set that up to default values because if this area is corrupted it can cause problems such as you are having.

You fire up and at no point you get anything onscreen right, not even bios?try resetting the cmos jumper and reseating the memory, use only one stick to test in slot O,check your cpu fan is connected into the cpu fan header, remove all add in cards cdroms and harddrives, check the atx 12v in connected to the motherboard ;)

It worked, Thanks a lot Rikky. Now all I gotta go is put stuff back in one by one to see what was messing it up.

It was either the ethernet modem or the sound card. I don't need either cause the mobo has built in 7.1 and gigabit ethernet. The memory sticks were fine cause I was using them in my other computer while i was waiting for my new parts.
