Display Property Woes

    i just did a much needed reformate on my main HD....now, when i go to mess with my themes in display properties it completely freezes up Murphy...my pc.
    i run xp pro service pack 2, amd athalon xp 1700+ 147 gh processor, 512 ddr, with an ati sapphire vid card running 128mgs of ram.

    anyone have any ideas?
    i am at my wits end...which actually isnt a long road to begin with

    i forgot, i run two monitors, one 17" crt view sonic secondary and one newly installed just prior to reformat 19" insignia crt primary

    when you re-formatted did you re-install the latest GFX card drivers from ATi?

    maybe worth if you did install them to do it again
