Display Resolution Problem...

Hey guys,

If someone can please help me out with this I would be very thankful. I have a second PC that I have recently reformated and installed Windows XP Pro. Here are the PC Specks:

IBM NetVista

Type: 8310 KCU

Processor: Intel Pentum 4 2.0G

Motherboard: REV 1.1 (All I see on the MB; nothing else)

Video: Intergrated into MB

My problem is that I can not change the "Screen Resolution" or the "Color Quality". I have been all over the IBM site and found the drivers that I am to download. However, when I install them it does nothing. I am at a loss can someone please help me out and tell me what is wrong. Also, I use the Freshdiagnose, and with "On Board Devices" all it lists is the sound card; but not the video card? Could my problem just be that the intergrated video card no longer works? I know I can buy a new video card, but I really dont want to invest too much into this PC. I just use it to run other programs that I dont want on my gaming PC. Please help!

If there is anything that I have left out just ask.

 

Also, in the Device Manager I have like 4 devices that are unknow:

Ethernet Controller
Multimedia Audio Controller
PCI Simple Communications Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

Download and install EVEREST and see if that gives you some better information on your hardware.

 

I found that IBM puts a compresed folder with the OS and there could you find the drivers you need. Could that help and work???

 

Thanks guys, I talked to one of my clan members who is like a computer god. He found the drivers that i needed, and it worked great. So I got it to work, but thanks anyways guys.
