Sorry if this isnt the correct forum, I'm not really sure where this would really fit-

I'm a student co-op at a company I just started working for this summer. I have this assignment right now where I'm currently working on a website and my goal is to have it displayed on a TV in my office breakroom. It's like a timeline thing of project due dates, stuff like that for everyone to see. My manager didn't have real clear instructions, giving me some freedom in how I want to do things, but I also really don't know how to do the TV implementation part.

My manager suggested to me perhaps displaying the website within a Picture in Picture window in a corner of the TV while the regular CNN feed we have continues playing. But if this isn't possible, just putting it up on the TV would be fine.

I have no experience doing something like this, but one thing I'd like to be able to do is update the website from the computer in my cubicle and have the changes appear on the TV. Perhaps this can be accomplished if the TV can be connected to the office server, and when I update the page and save it on the server, the TV can reload the page automatically with the changes. I really don't know though, any ideas on how to do this would be welcome. I realize using a graphics card with TV-out could turn the TV into another monitor, but the TV is attached to the ceiling, and above a refrigerator. Maybe I could put a laptop on the fridge, but would it be possible to still update it from my cubicle's computer?

Using a video card with a tv-out connector (RCA plug) you specify the TV as a second monitor so what ever is displayed on the PC/laptop's screen goes out to the TV also. Many video cards today have RCA jack on them. If you want it to update you'll need some code in the webpage to refresh every so often to pick up any changes you've made to the schedule.
So you could run a cable from whichever system your using to display the info (trust me wireless video tranmitter generally suck & need a line of sight) so cable to it or run a laptop on the fridge and just set up remote control or put the webpage on a server that both you & the display pc can access and update that file - then the next refresh interval on the web page the changes will show.
