Okay, I have a problem that I know you guys can help me fix. I have six distribution lists. I need to put these six into one larger one.

What I mean is like the larger distribution list is like an egg carton and the six smaller lists are the eggs. Within each egg there are about 85 individual molecules for lack of a better analogy.

Currently, when I try and send an email using the larger distribution list to the recipients, I get an error stating a valid email address is required. When I made the smaller distribution lists and I tried to send a message, it worked fine. I get a + sign and the distribution lists name in the "To" section.

Is what I am posing even a possibility? I truly hope so.

Before I wrote this thread, I checked prior postings but did not find one that applied. Thanks.

Nevermind. I figured it out. I was actually trying to incorporate shortcuts which the system cannot do. That's cool. Trial and error!! The story of my life. hehehe. Thanks again, guys!!

Just wanted to say thanks and here is as quick a way that I could figure how to do it. First, I had the original 5 distributions lists. I saved them using "Outlook Template" in "My Documents". Then, I literally dragged each one into my "Contacts". Then, I went a created a new distribution list under "Actions". I hit the "select Members" button. Now, I scrolled down to the sub-section called Contacts (Remember, I work for the City of Denver so I have a bunch of sections to choose form like Global, etc.). I chose each of the smaller distribution lists and BING BANG BOOM, I have one BIG distribution list. I tested it out using smaller versions and it worked perfectly. Now, I can send an email to a select group from the entire city with just a click. The reason I had to do this was because my boss said there was a limit as to the number of emails I could make within a single distribution list. Apparently, they had that issue before I came to work here. After all this, I read in MicroSoft that there is no limit unless the computer guys here put one in. Either way, I got around the issue and get to keep my job one more day. hehehe

Thansk again to everyone who has offered me help in this and other areas. I found another group but they appear to be @$$-----. So I will never leave here again. Thanks again. I hope teh explanation I gave above is okay to understand. If not, just tell me and I'll try again.
    ;)
