DL Resume

    Hi All

    I am connecting via dialup which stinks but I have no choice. Also the reliability of the connection is pathetic so I'm lucky to be online an hour before I drop off. Therefore I can't download anything including a download manager. After 7 hours of trying I just got 48% complete. So new computer, and no idea how to download basic updates even. Any ideas good people?? Thanks for your time.

    Any chance of family/friend downloading and putting on flash drive/CD so you can install?
    Is the house wiring crappy/noisy or the line in from the provider the problem?
    If the line in, see if they can't do some checking on it for problems.
    If house wiring, get an electrician in to see if there are any fixes possible.
    Not much help I know.:-o
