dll missing from game

    installed silent hill homecoming but when try to run get message dll file missing got file of a site but where do i put it thanks

    I'd try putting it in the game's install directory. You will likely find it under 'Program Files' if you used the default install. However, it will probably get installed in the correct location by logging on to the 'Steam' site and providing them with the logon key. For that to work, you must be logged on as Administrator (or equivalent) and if you are using a firewall you'll need to allow 'Steam.exe' full access to the internet.

    [RANT] Personally, I don't like this particular type of 'game copy protection' as it exposes your computer to excessive danger. Anyone who downloads a copy of the missing 'DLL' from a site other than Steam or Valve also exposes their computer and their networks to malicious intrusion.[/RANT]
