Hello to everyone first of all.

Dutchmann has a problem or two. During boot up at the desktop in windows I receive two RUNDLL messages. Error loading C:\windows
system32\wpuruhua.dll and tqitpoyl.dll, same path for both missing dlls.

Question: Are they from the Windows XP OS or IE 7?

Can I replace .DLL's by just copying them into the system32 folder?

How do I fix this. I am a relative novice but I can move around if it is not to complicated.

Is there a program or application I can purchase or freeware someplace that may help me replace these missing files?

    Thanks to everyone who responds.

    The Dutchmann in NC.:confused

I google the internet And I REALY Can't find this 2 dll"s.Are you sure you type dll"s right? If yes,I think you might want to go to malware section to see if something is wrong with your comp.

Try clicking start, run, type in
sfc /scannow (note the space after sfc )
then put your XP disc in the cd rom,
    Then click o.k
Windows will show you a little box, and progress bar, and you will need to click retry, several times, until the box dissappears off your screen - any Windows important files will be replaced.
Come back if you still have a problem, as, yes, you can go on-line and download from a site to replace dll's as you guessed, if they are still showing (free downloadable)

As these do not show up , on the web search, Goran_P could be right, possible malware, or part of a faulty program that you installed/uninstalled

99% of the time when a DLL file looks like a string of random letters (like the ones posted above) it's malware. You may have an active infection, or these are leftovers from a previous infection. In any case, a visit to the Major Geeks malware removal forum is a really good idea. Start here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407

If the error you get is that DLL files are missing, it's actually a good thing, but something is still actively looking for those files and it needs to be taken care of.

If Dutchmann recently removed some spyware or a virus before he got these errors, he might try doing it again but this time from Safe Mode (hit the F8 Button repeatedly during boot). Safe Mode is loaded with limited drivers and system resources, which often puts malware at a disadvantage when it tries and protect itself.

Thanks First Shirt. Sure do appreciate the advice and help here. This is not my computer it is GF's so I really don't know what she did or didn't do to get this problem but I will follow your instructions so far and see if I can at least get rid of the annoying .dll messages at boot up. If it doesn't work "I'LL BE BACK" like Arnold.

Thanks for all the great help and suggestions.
I followed first seargeants suggestions and used the malware removal process in the FAQ's to try and remove the .dll messages from boot up. I have the files from SUPERAntispyware, Malwarebytes, combofix and MGtools.zip to attach for your review because I still have a problem with the original message on one DLL.

    RUNDLL
    Error loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\wpuruhua.dll
The specified module could not be found

Is there anything I can do to get rid of the pointer to this non-existent .dll module?
If I can please provide specific steps.

Can I edit the registry manually to remove the pointer to it. I do not believe the .dll is required because it is bogus and was not found by google search.

At this point I just want the message to stop popping up at the desktop on each boot up.

Thanks Geeksters for your time and help here.

ALSO: The SUPERANTISPYWARE log file exceeded 250KB for upload to you guys for review. Anything I can do to get it to you if you need it. Just tell me what to do with the file to get it smaller and I will follow your directions. Do I need to zip it or re-run the program?

Dutchman, I just had this problem 2 days ago although my string of letters was something different.

I haven't bothered to do all the manual malware removal.
    1) Start>Run>msconfig both files are listed in the startup tab; uncheck them
    2) Both files are in Windows/System32; Rename or Delete them.

SpyBot will remove something like Virtumonde, I think it is part of the problem. My virus scanner which wasn't on until now says it is some sort of adware not a true virus.

I think after you run Spybot the entries will disappear from Msconfig. At least I no longer see them there.

If you find anything else out, let me know. :) I think this came from doing an online registry scan or something. I tried to take a shortcut and got hurt. :( Live and learn. :)

Just thinking if you were getting the error "missing" you probably already deleted the files through a malware scan. I only saw my run32.dll error when I signed onto a limited account that was denied access to them.

The Msconfig should stop the startup messages but I can't really say how they were permanently removed from my startup list. I ran Kaspersky and Spybot after renaming the files and deactivating them in Msconfig and now they are gone from my startup tab.

    OK, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!!

Thanks for all the support. You can put this one to bed for the time being.

Sach2's suggestion on msconfig did the trick for the annoying message. When I reconfigured another message came up but thank god it had a check box to never see it again.

Really appreciate the work thru in the FAQ's malware removal process and sequences and programs. They worked great but, you have to read the whole processes BEFORE doing anything to your system and have some time and patience. I downloaded all of them and printed out ALL the steps for running and installed them on a CD-RW so if I need them and can't get on geeks.com I can still fix it once more.

    SO, Thanks again.

    Lost Dutchmann has been found.
