.dll

I didnt know where this would go sorry in advance but does anybody know how to open a .dll file? is there a program to open it with?

 

.dll or dynamic link library does not run by itself it has to be called by some .exe.
The functions of the dll can be similar to an exe but they will not run on its own.Dlls are made by programers and you use it indirectly when you are running some exe.
Opening it will not let you see the codes the programmer uses as it it has been compiled.
