I have been trying to setup a DLNA server on my mac for a few weeks now. It seems when I reset my router to factory settings, Google TV can see my server and works great. As soon as I restart my computer all is lost. I checked and my ip address doesn't change and I obviously didn't change any settings in the router so...whats the deal? If I change router to default it will all the sudden work again.

Any help would be great. I have the Verizon Fios Actiontec router.

If only using the server internally on the LAN, and not attempting to send it outside, yes it will work. You really need to set a static IP for the server. As for google tv, too many people have been having problems with it working properly.

    Yes the server is internal.

    My mac is: 192.168.1.2
    My googletv is: 192.168.1.5

Neither has changed ips, but they are not set to static. I have never had success setting a static ip. Every time I have tried my computer no longer gets internet connection.

I had this same issue when trying to stream to my xbox360. It could never find the server either, until I reset to router. Last time I did it I setup my passwords and saved the router config file so now I just reload that file when I want to get it to work again. Still a PIA though.
