DMA off

i havent had this problem before but i downloaded something and it asked me if i wanted to turn my dma off. i didnt know what this was so i clicked yes. now when i try to burn a dvd i cant it tells me the dma is off. well i have tried system restore, uninstalling and reinstalling my dvd rom and it actually turned the dma on one of my primary ide's but i have 2 and also secondary ide's. please help i dont want to do a destructive restore and actually i dont know if that will even help.

 

to enable DMA (Direct Memory Access ) go to : control panel, system, hardware, device manager. Doubleclick on IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, Second Tab. There you'll see what DMA setting Windows XP is using. or for vista use link below...
