Dmz...

How exactly do I open all the ports? Specifically for my Playstation2. Someone told me inorder to get my headset working that I needed to open all ports and DMZ it. How would I do that? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

You're going thru a router I take it?

You need to access the router thru its IP, should be something like 192.168.2.1 There should be some Tabs to get you to the area you want. Check the paper work which the router came with.

Keep in mind you'll pretty much be disabling your routers firewall and allowing your PC open to attack.

 

It seems to me that there's a simpler method than what this someone had told you and what JerryKing has suggested would have to be done if you're going thru a router.

I've myself haven't used a PS2 headset before but I'm not understanding why all ports would have to be open for it to be accessed. And as for setting up a DMZ, how many servers are you running on your network that would require one. The only time I'd reccomend setting up a DMZ would be if you had e-mail, web or database servers on you're network.

The only thing I can suggest is to either search the web or contact Sony for support. But if you want to open all your ports then by all means go right ahead.

 

Well the headset won't work for SOCOM US:Navy SEALs. The only ports I need to open are 6000-6999, how can I do that?
