Dns Issues

Over the last couple of weeks, I've been having DNS issues on my Win 10 laptop. The following 2 messages often appear when using either browser...Google or Edge:

    DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
    ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

Sometimes if I wait a few seconds, the requested site appears, other times nothing happens... even if I reload or refresh the page. Below are some of the steps I've tried to resolve the issue... not in any particular order:

    Clear cache in each browser
Run stand alone anti-virus software Malwarebytes
    Reboot laptop
    Reboot router
    Uninstall network adapters and reinstall

Nothing seems to work. The issue keeps returning. I've been using this laptop (Lenovo ideapad 110) since 2017 with very few issues... and never had DNS issues. My Android Phone (Moto G Power), when connected to the same WiFi and router, has no issues when going to the same websites.

    Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

    Update...
Took the flushdns a step further and did all the following:

Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.
Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.
    Restart the computer.

Still had the same DNS issues after a few minutes... BUT... when I followed Foogoo's suggested link and started using Cloudfare's DNS servers, surfing the net appeared faster and the DNS issues disappeared. That was after a 20 minute test. We'll see after a few days if it still holds up. Previously, my issues returned within minutes of the DNS flush and subsequent steps. This entire situation is a mystery, because these DNS issues appeared to came out of nowhere.

What was the DNS before you switched to Cloudflare?

This says your problem is with Windows rather than the DNS server you are using. Try running the networking repairs in Tweaking.com. Be sure to follow the instructions fully.

Have no idea. My understanding of DNS... is one's ISP normally handles DNS assignments.

Anyway... it's now been 2 days since using Cloudfare's DNS and everything is back to normal... even faster.

If a 3rd party DNS is faster, you might just change the DNS on your router so all devices can benefit.
    Your're welcome.;)

It's now been several days since switching to Cloudfare's DNS (1.1.1.1), and everything is great. How do I show this issue has been resolved?? Thanks
