DNS server crashes and getting taken advantage of... RRRRRRrrrrr

hi all, just wanted to warn you.. the site i manage recieved a very really real looking DNS notice. we complied. we got ******! make sure and log into your DNS provider and verify any changes and notices. the company that took advantage of us, messed up our DNS and caused repeated site crashes. i finally called and talked to the tech (wow a real american too!) and he quickly found our problem and told me how to fix it.. to make a long story short, it now will take 24 -36 hours for them to get us back up. this site takes mega hits a day... and we are down on a very busy week end.
