    Hi

For some unknown reason, experiencing problems trying to do a verification test, do I have Java test using Internet Explorer Browser.
I have Vista Home Premium installed. The version of Java JRE which I downloaded is the latest update, Java 6 Update 11.

The test does not complete whereas on the other hand if I use Mozilla Firefox Browser the test and verification works perfectly.

Any advice as to a cause why it does not work using IE appreciated.
Is it possible that security settings are incorrect. Having that said it is appreciated if the correct IE settings (recommended) for IE7 can be forwarded

    Thanks
    Henri

    Hi

What test are you trying to run? post the URL and we will see if we can recreate.

What I would do, just in case that some older versions of Java that maybe on your PC are causing this is to run JavaRa and clean up all older Java's, may need to right click this app and Run as Administrator.

Personally I had some issues with Java 6 Update 11 in Vista SP1 that made me revert back to the older Java 6 update 10 until they fix what I perceave as some issues with update 11, for me anyway, others may have udpate 11 working ok in same or different OSes.

    Hi Halo

Your response appreciated. I gather you are suggesting I should revert to version 6 update 10. Prior to update 11 which was done today I was using update 10 but the situation was the same.
I have just done the JavaRa and it is only finding version 6 update

URL which I use for doing the testing to see if I have java or not is as follows:

    http://www.java.com/en/

On this site just below Free Java Download it says Do I have Java? Upon proceeding I experience what was mentioned in my initial input.
When I do likewise using Mozilla Firefox the test completes without any bother
    whatsoever.
If you try to recreate and it works at your end it might be that my IE settings are not correct. This is only a guess.
Please bear in mind that my knowledge is only basic.

    Awaiting your findings if any.

    Henri
