I have a Velocity Promagix E2055. I am trying to connect to a wireless router, but it's telling me there are no wireless networks in range. I know of at least 5 in addition to the one I'm trying to connect to. The network is working - I'm connected to it on my laptop right now. I have never used wireless on my desktop before, but I checked the hardware and there is a wireless card there. Can someone help? Thank you, Sheri

So the hardware is definitely there? How old is the computer?

Well, the computer says the hardware is there ... it's enabled and it's working properly according to the computer ... this is my desktop, and I never had to use wireless before. I always had the modem and router hooked up that computer. I can just run an ethernet, but I'd need 60 feet of it ... would be easier if the wireless worked. I don't know anything about computers. Mhy laptop has a wireless button on it, the desktop doesn't. I don't know if that means anything. Thanks for your help.

  4. No problem, I am here to help.
Does the laptop get a wireless signal in the same room the computer is? (this way we know if the signal is even making it that far).

    How old is the computer?
Do you know how to get into your routers config? (Don't worry if you don't I can help you do this)
