Do I need MS Security Hotfixes

    Your link didn't work for me but I searched and downloaded Belarc from MG.

    I'm concerned because Belarc reports I must install hot fixes for MS security. I recently deleted MS security in favour of Avast. Do I still need the MS Hot Fixes?

    Moved your post from the other thread as your question is different to the Original Posters.

    Hotfixes are likely to be not associated with Microsoft Security Essentials but more so Windows itself, what you need to do to double check this is to run Windows Update and see if any updates (security hotfixes) are listed.

    Personally I would not recommend relying on Belarc for that sort of info. If you want to be sure that your security updates are all in place - for all programs, not just Windows - then Secunia is the tool to use.
