    Greetings Learned Ones . . .

I recently built (well - Dr. Frankensteined a new computer with some old parts and new parts) a new rig. It is an AMD 64 3200 with 1024 gigs o' ram. The motherboard is an ECS 755 A2. It had a few initial glitches I have since worked out.

Now that things are running smoothly do I need to install the drivers that shipped with the board? I remember doing this once with a previous build a few years back and things when south real quick.

    Thanks for any input.

yes.. installing mobo drivers ( wether they are the ones in the supplied CD or check if chipset makers has newer ones ) is the first thing you should do as they allow most of the hardware to be correctly picked up... USB being a noteable one.
