Do You Like Snakes??

Cairns resident, Stuart Morris was out on his daily walk and found a that a 7 metre snake and at first thought it had shed its skin but after taking it to some experts it is now thought it was probably skinned.
It is believed to be a reticulated python which is a snake that is native to Asia and is non venomous although like boa constrictors........they can give you a fatal squeeze and their bite is a problem as they have large fangs for gripping and lots of nasty bacteria inside their mouth so the wound usually becomes badly infected............here is the article just posted in the paper

Yep we have copperheads over here and although they only get to 3 or 4 feet they are quite venomous and if bitten you definitely need medical attention and a shot of antivenine.

FYI according to Wikipedia it has recently been discovered that garter snakes produce a neurotoxic venom but the quantity delivered is unlikely to cause much more than localised swelling in humans.......so take care Laura, they probably like hanging around the fairways at the golf club or near water features

Well, I don't like that sneaky snake, but overall I don't have issue with the species.

 

Over here there is a python called the Chldren's Python and it only grows to about one metre in length and is commonly kept as a pet. It is named after John Children and not because it is often a kid's pet.

Hmmm.....methinks a 7 metre snake would be quite challenging to keep.........just the snake's weight would be enough and then if it suddenly had a crush on you ...........

 

with all those weird animals id think they would keep guns legal

i think boars are everywhere in Texas tearing up plants

im afraid of raccoons
