Document names gone

After a visit from my grandchildren I am still working on getting things back the way they were, of course no one changed anything rolleyes
Any way got most fixed except my document and picture names. Don't know what to try next :confused need help, and thank you :wave

 

Ahhh, yes.... I had this happen to me recently.

I fixed it like this:

1. Navigate to a folder that DOES show file names
2. Select 'Folder Options' from the 'Tools' menu
3. On the 'Folder Options' dialog, select the 'View' tab
4. Press the 'Apply To All Folders' button

Do note that this blows away view settings on all folders, but will standardize the appearance.

If this is no good for you, there IS a specific setting, but I can't remember for the life of me what it is. This is just quick and easy. If you'd rather just fix the one, let me know, and I'll do a bit of research.
