Does anybody know anything about IP version 6?

    Does anybody know anything about IP version 6? I am looking for information about it. I can find stuff on the internet but it does not really explain it. Please help. Thanks BanC

    Just that it uses 64 bit addressing scheme rather than IPv4 which uses 32 bits. To allow something like 200 Billion available addresses.

    Also it uses some sort of shorthand where you can use :: to represent a number of zeros.

    It will probably still be a while before widely used. It is going to be expensive to implement.

    I know that the White Paper is about 600 pages long.
